My
paintings combine the impressions and vivid colors of nature. I try to express life's emotions through the use of color, movement
and excitement. It is important to share in the enthusiasm for all things, which only art can express when it is seen in the
abstract. Viewing these paintings (in person) captures your eye and invites you to explore the machinations in more detail.
People see many different images within the same picture. It is, thus, the viewers, vision which is driven by ones own imagination
and emotions. Acrylics are used and selected for their sheen, glossiness, metallic, pearlescent, iridescent and gem like
qualities. Liberal use of gem flakes gives life, depth and movement to my images through flow and marbling. These images will
reach out to you and captivate your imagination like few other works of art.
Art Review:
"Color, texture and light informs the expressionist
style with a thematic milieu that is mysterious, captivating and visually compelling. Skillfully executed, the work achieves
poignancy through a unique perspective that resonates throughout the cohesive presentation. Wonderful work."

Art Biography/Resume of Patrick Mock: An impression
that has stuck with me over the years is the beauty of lighting and the message it conveys as to our moods of happiness and
ecstasy, peace or sadness. While in the Army, I served on a desolate island in the Aleutians and used art as an escape. I
created wood cut sculptures, lapidary, and photography. When stationed in Germany I visited some of the greatest artworks
of all time in Europe. Visits to Vienna, Salzburg, Rome, Berlin and many other locales that filled me with awe and wonder
at the beauty that mankind had created over the millennium, even in the midst of the destruction of wars. Most inspiring were
the works of Michelangelo in the Vatican. Photography became my art form. I was inspired to create workings in composition,
lighting and experimentation in solarizations to create more dynamic art forms. Still there was a haunting desire for a more
satisfying expression of the beauty and wonder of nature, life and the emotions we experience. Finally,
I discovered a different way to create paintings that gives life to those emotions experienced. Through the creation of movement
of light, shadow, and color an exciting method has evolved. By creating refractions of light and color, and the use of marbling,
a result that is pure and simple, yet so incredibly complex and yet amazingly delicate and exquisite I found a higher level
of satisfaction. Light and color in motion excels in refraction and reflection to dazzle the senses
of the viewer. It is to create art that is at once brilliant and yet subtle, and esthetically pleasing, My mission
in creating art, and my hope, that you will experience pleasure through the viewing of my offerings and feel enriched because
of them. Patrick
